Today’s star — is another traditional icon. When I first embarked on my transitional journey to a more blissfully natural curlista — I went through what I called an experiment phase. As expensive as this venture was — I was able to test out some pretty great brands like Jonathan, but my fave was Peter Lamas.
I was extremely excited to receive a shipment from the Peter Lamas PR team to review the new Bamboo Nectar Shine Enhancing Collection Shampoo & Conditioner. This breathe taking experience — is exactly as I remembered (I tried the Soy, Rice, Wheatgrass & Chinese Herbs). But Lamas is a celebrity beauty consultant and natural beauty guru after all, so I knew that my tresses was in for an amazing transition.
The rich and creamy formula was a gentle and warm caress to my scalp and strands. As I gently massaged and lathered — my senses seemed to be hypnotized as if by a sensual serenade. My hair is a variety of different textures –straight, curly, wavy, frizzy — and can often find it hard to find products that are not only gentle and mild, but perform just as good as the top leading brands — while individually addressing various hair types. The bamboo — natural reparative — (mends dry and damaged locks — while boosting shine) seemed to lubricate my strands, as if coating it in lustrous luxury. The vitamin-enriched shampoo & conditioner nourishes hair with certified organic botanicals, amino acids and vitamins — like Panthenol (http://www.mindbodysoulutions.info/spacer.gif), Bamboo Silica and Palm Fruit Extract — to infuse hair with healing hydration, brilliance and shine.
I loved how my hair was compliant to my styling routine, which usually involve moisturizing and then styling. My flyaways were obedient and laid flat in unison.
Would I recommend this product to a fellow beauty maven? Most Definitely. I give the collection 5 stars for performance and quality and 4.0 for affordability/availability.
Style Tip: I love to treat my hair. I think I cater more to my hair than any other beauty aspect — so I often make little beauty cocktails. I take organic, essential oils and mix them with my products — to give an additional beauty boost.
- Take some Bamboo Nectar Shine Enhancing conditioner and add a few drops of argon, avocado or jojoba oil and smooth through from root to tips.
- Leave in for 30 – 60 minutes (depending on hair thickness and dryness), using a heating cap or hair dryer (medium temp) to heat things up a bit (being very careful not to burn)
- Rinse with cool water — sealing hair shafts. I love the exquisite firmness and perfection of my curls. My color and texture seems to applaud my efforts and reward me with complimentary “to-die-for” tresses.
